Healing Boils With Natural Remedies (Video).

Boils also called furuncles are local staphyloccal bacterial infections of the skin. You can get boils by these things below:

  • Poor hygiene
  • Poor immune system
  • Alcoholism
  • Friction from tight clothing
  • Diabetes
  • Poor nutrition
  • Chemotherapy
  • Exposure to harsh chemicals

You can prevent yourself from getting boils by washing your hands, covering open lesions on skin, and not sharing personal items such as towels or razors.

Natural Remedies For Boils

– Using a hot compress

– Taking tumeric internally. Turmeric is considered to be a natural blood purifier. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which are helpful for the treatment of boils.

– Applying tea tree oil to the boil topically. Tea tree oil is one of the preferable antiseptics, which is used for healing all types of skin problems.

– Castor oil is considered as an antiseptic for treatment of a boil. Put some drops of castor oil on a cotton ball. Put the cotton ball on the boil, directly. This will draw out the poison right out of the boil.

– Onion has antimicrobial as well as antiseptic properties that are effective for the treatment of boils. You are required to take a thick slice of onion and place it directly on the boil. Wrap the onion with a cloth so that the heat of the onion reaches inside the skin. If the process is practised 3-4 times a day, the boil will surely drain out.

– Boil some parsley leaves in water. After warming, wrap the leaves in a thin clean cloth. Use it as a bandage on the boil. This will help boil to burst out fast, without any infection.

– Nutmeg is known for stimulating blood circulation in the body. Mix half teaspoon of nutmeg powder in 1 hot cup of milk or water. Drink the mixture to prevent bacterial infection in the boil.

Transcendent

Do you ever wish to feel enlightened, lifted, or more content? Then try these supplements/herbal remedies that I have tried below to achieve that ultimate feeling.

1. Eat bananas, it increases dopamine in the body. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps control the brain’s reward and pleasure centers. Dopamine also helps regulate movement and emotional responses, and it enables us not only to see rewards, but to take action to move toward them (Psychology para 1).

2.

Excellent supplement!

This supplement really alters your mood in ways you would ultimately desire. It takes about twenty to thirty minutes to kick in but this supplement really gives you that sort of happy boost. The side effects for me personally while taking this supplement is I can’t sleep for a long time and I end up waking up earlier. It isn’t bad just what I have experienced.

Looking for a sleep aid? This is it!

I definitely love this herb! I am a natural born night owl so I’m always looking for anything that can help me go to sleep and I must tell you Valerian has done a pretty swell job! Word to the Wise: NEVER combine St.Johns Wort and Valerian together because you will be absolutely exhausted.

I hope this helps you radical nuggets reach your feeling of enlightenment!

Hair/Skin Herbal Remedies

Are you sick of wasting your hard earned money on products that aren’t fulfilling your needs? Are you tired of being scammed or tricked into believing a certain product works and really doesn’t. Then dear groovy nuggets I bear you the information on herbal/natural remedies that WILL work! All the remedies I will list below I have used and I can tell you for a fact that I know they work. So let’s get started:

Skin/Hair

1. Everyday Face Wash: Use a teaspoon or more of honey (depending on how much you need) to wash your face. It’s that simple! Honey hydrates the skin and is an antibacterial as well. In past wars they used to clean the wounds with honey to help heal them. I have been using honey to wash my face for a couple of months and it has been the best thing for my face and helps dry/sensitive skin. I suggest using raw honey because it still has the natural enzymes and it also can be a natural exfoliate. You can also use the honey for a body wash as well. This remedy is very affordable and works super well! I usually buy my raw honey for only around ten dollars.

2. Body Oil/Hydration: Instead of using chemically filled and weird smelling lotions try coconut oil, which is a popular remedy used in India for not only the skin but the hair as well. I use coconut oil and I must say that it not only smells good but it’s extremely hydrating for the skin. I try to use it before I go out in the sun for a long period of time. Grapeseed Oil, is a light oil that can easily be used to hydrate the skin during the day. This oil can also be used in the hair as well. An obvious one that everyone probably already knows about is Olive Oil, used widely in the Mediterranean it’s name has reached ears around the world about it’s delicacy and utmost cherished health properties. Flaxseed Oil, this oil is magnificent! This oil is very good for curly hair as well. This oil contains high contents of Omega 3’s which help the skin/hair stay lustful. I must warn you though it’s smell is pretty strong and can be somewhat repelling. So I suggest if you use flaxseed oil use it as night treatment.

3. Tightening Mask for Pores or Matured Skin: Crack open an egg, get rid of the yolk and just keep the egg whites. Wash the face normally, pat dry, then as crazy as it may seem put the egg whites on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes or whenever you feel the mask really starts tightening the face. After that you will see that your pores have really decreased, gone away, or your face feels quite smooth…ya dig!

4. Cinnamon/Honey Acne Treatment: Wash the face, pat it dry, and then take a teaspoon of any kind of organic honey (I suggest raw honey) and then take an equal amount of cinnamon and stir it up. Then apply it to your spots or acne and leave it on overnight (if you don’t toss or turn) or leave it on for 30 minutes or as long as you can.

5.  Castor Oil for eyelashes: Instead of wearing chemically and nasty filled mascara. I apply castor oil on my eyelids and some on my lower and upper eyelashes. This oil is very hydrating and VERY thick so it’s perfect for healthy lashes.

6. Rosemary Wash for hair or body: I pick fresh rosemary from my families garden about 3 to 4 “sticks” of rosemary and then I boil some water, put the rosemary in the boiling water, and then boil it for a good 10-15 minutes or until you can really smell the rosemary and when water has changed color.I then strain it, let it cool, and apply it to my hair as either a shampoo or an after rinse for my hair. You can also put this remedy in your bath water. You will smell heavenly! This is an excellent remedy for combating hair loss or growing thicker hair. This remedy has been used for centuries to help fight hair loss!

7. Aloe Vera Hair Rinse: You can either use an aloe plant, buy some aloe vera juice, or if you have a juicer just juice the aloe vera plant but you want to apply the aloe vera juice on your scalp for about 10-15 minutes after you wash your hair. This remedy has also been used for centuries especially in India. This remedy help stimulate hair follicles and helps your hair grow thicker. I love it!

8. Marigold Hair Lightener/Face Wash/Sun Saver: This plant is one of my all time favorites! This plant can highlight the hair with golden highlights, can help the skin replenish from a ton of sun exposure, and can lighten dark/acne spots if used for awhile. For Christmas I wanted a pound of marigold and some essential oils and thankfully I got them, gotta love family! Anyways, Take about a cup or two of marigold and put that in some boiling water for about 15-20 minutes, then let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes, and let it cool. Use this as a hair rinse, face wash, or put it in a dark colored spray bottle and use it before you go out into the sun, or you could even spray it on your hair when outside and let the golden highlights soak into your hair!

*The key to being healthy and beautiful is from within. You can use these remedies to beautify yourself but the beauty will truly never show if your insides are complete slush…and I’m not talking about the delicious slushies here nuggets!

*A little word to the wise: ALWAYS LOOK AT THE INGREDIENT LIST WHEN BUYING PRODUCTS! PLEASE! It’s such a simple thing but nobody ever looks at the ingredient list! The ingredient list is the one thing an individual should look at when not wanting to get scammed! Don’t look at the quality of the bottle or how cute or hip the bottle looks….look at what’s in it.

*For example: Some of the most famous and expensive and so called “high quality” hair products are terrible for the hair-This bottle below is priced at almost 14 dollars…ARE YOU SERIOUS:

Helps strengthen dried out and worn out locks? Really now?

*Ingredient List: Aqua (Water/Eau), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum (Fragrance), Glycol Distearate, Dimethiconol, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Carbomer, Limonene, TEA-Dodecylbenzenesulfonate, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Mica, Sodium Hydroxide, PPG-9, Tetrasodium EDTA, Benzyl Benzoate, Citric Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Geraniol, Linalool, Polyethylene, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 42090 (Blue 1), CI 15985 (Yellow 5).

*Could you ingest that? I don’t think so! Yeah not good at all! If any of you know basic knowledge you would know that the ingredients at the top of the list are way more potent then the ones at the bottom. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is our main enemy hear! This ingredient is a lathering agent which creates the “sudsy”  or “clean” affect of the shampoo. This shampoo also increases hair fall and makes you hair weaker. Strike one! Sodium Chloride also known as table salt is used as a thickener in shampoos. It also causes irritation to the eyes and a dry scalp…hah and were just getting started! Yellow 5 which is used as a coloring agent in the shampoo has been linked to potential fertility issues.

*Your skin is your biggest organ and anything you apply topically while soak into the skin and go into the bloodstream causing just as much harm as ingesting bad food. So it’s no joke! Watch out for bad products by looking at the ingredient list and knowing what’s in the product you want to buy.

*My motto: If you can’t eat it why use it?

Anyways, hopefully this was or will be helpful for you radical nuggets!

On a happy note…I will leave you beautiful nuggets with a song that fits perfectly with this article:

I just really love this song:

Stay Rosy!

Radical Rose

Life is Wonderful

Isn’t life just glorious. I was just sitting back and thinking about all the amazing things in this world and all the interesting people in it. Since this is a retro blog I will be and have been sharing my desires for the past but I just got to thinking….as disappointing as it may be I don’t live in the 1960’s…I didn’t get to experience the 1967 Summer of Love concert but you know what that’s okay. No, I didn’t get to see Led Zeppelin live and experience music that really touches the soul. No, I didn’t get to dance under a disco ball while dancing with a dashing man in a suit to More than a Woman by the Bee Gees. No, I didn’t get to see Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald sing and perform their magnificent pieces that are dearly cherished to this day, but you know what life will ultimately go on.  For myself it’s not just the music that I love about the past but the feeling put into it, the authenticity of it all and the love people showed while performing it. The point to this post was not to rant about how life is sad these days or how it’s not as wonderful as the past. Life is wonderful-it’s just the way you look at things. With the wonderful computer I get to cherish each and every oldies song from the magnificent web. The little things in life are so precious and amazing. I just can’t believe I never appreciated life for what it was worth before. Their is so much to be thankful for. Without my friends, family, music, and my cat life would be so dull. Anyways, my point to this post is being thankful for what you have. Also, the most important thing you have is yourself….as weird as this comes out to be but the only way you can reach your highest potential or complete contentment is being your own best friend. Don’t rely on others to complete your happiness. Love your self and life will open up to you. Live with less and the world will open to you in so many opportunities. May your life be filled with extreme happiness and groovy times! Stay spiffy nuggets! PS: Below I will post some songs that just make life a little bit better. 🙂

Diggity ❤

I’m most definitely thankful for this spiffy nugget:

Reflection

Reflection, a word every individual should act out and incorporate into their daily lives. Without reflection of ourselves there is never any room for improvement. Again as I sit in my cave of contentment I reflect on the past wrongdoings and foolish behavior I had once done in the past. I blame the song Perfection by Goldfinger and its enchanting sound. Why must we feel the need to judge others from outside appearances? Why don’t we all just treat others how we want to be treated. I just would like to reflect on how our lives can sincerely change by the way we perceive others and treating others how we want to be treated. Now this discussion is pretty well forced into our lives beginning as young children and carried upon until we are adults but let’s get real do any one of us really try to do our very best at treating others how we want to be treated. I know I don’t! I’m not saying I’m a bitter cold-hearted Grinch here but I must say I’ve haven’t always had the kindest words to say about others. So once again I reflect on my wrongdoings and I am determined to completely turn around my outlook on others and transform my not so kind words into a reflection of a sincerity and uplifting behavior. I’ve already started to start my mission of enlightenment and I must say it is quite satisfying. Below are my steps to pure contentment and enlightenment:

~Be content with what you already have. If you have food, water, and shelter you are set. Here is a quote that really inspired me with this situation: “Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want.” -Anna Lappe

~Have future plans or goals that you want to reach. Because with those ideas in mind there is always something to look forward too.

~Don’t conform. Listen to your gut and stay true to yourself.

~Have a healthy lifestyle: when having this it will not only make you feel better but with certain foods and herbal remedies can help you have a more positive and serene outlook on life.

Happy Foods/Herbal Remedies

  1. Eating oranges, it’s that simple.
  2. St.John’s Wort, a herb that helps serotonin (one of the main chemical messenger sin the brain) levels. This herb is mainly given to individuals that have depression. I personally do not have depression but I must say since I take this herb that it definitely gives you a happy boost and is safe to take even if you don’t have depression. If you are on ANY kind of pharmaceutical medication you should make sure your medication doesn’t interfere or have side effects with this herb. This herb is excellent and is one of my top favorite herbs to take. I ingest it either through tea or capsule form.
  3. Passion flower, this flower also helps stabilize and increase serotonin levels. I suggest you either take St.Johns Wort or Passion flower and see which one your prefer. You should not take both St.John’s Wort and Passion Flower together because it would be a waste of each herb. Both of the herbs pretty much have the same affects so only stick with one.
  4. Kava Kava Extract, this herb originated from islands located around Fiji. This herb increases cheerfulness in your mood. Merry Christmas Grinch! 🙂 Haha, anyways I take this herb usually at night or when I want to feel extremely relaxed. Make sure you won’t be driving for a while it really does make you VERY relaxed.
  5. Hibiscus Tea, I take a tea with hibiscus in it but it is actually called Groovy Tea. No joke! I love this tea it tastes extremely delicious.

Inspiring Quotes

“Keep your face always toward the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you.” -Walt Whitman

“Take care of our own well-being, by focusing on thoughts that bring us more joy. But most importantly, we could remind ourselves that every situation, no matter how happpiness can give us the opportunity to find our bliss.”

“The giver should be thankful.”

“Make your imagination limitless.”

St.Johns Wort, who knew what a little plant could do 🙂

Passion Flower

My favorite tea combined with the song feelin’ groovy by Simon and Garfunkel and you can call it a fantastic day! 🙂

My groovy tea 🙂

Well thanks for reading and have a positive day!

Beautiful…I just love the trumpet part:
